Hi, first let me appreciate such a great work you are doing at easyeda: really well done, guys, congratulations and thank you very much ! Could you please add footprint for SOT-227 (ISOTOP) package ? I cannot find any similar package on lib and, footprint editing doesn't work at all. Searched topics on forum, no useful results. You can eventually refer to this component as sample: http://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/datasheet/82/39/f9/d1/fb/c0/49/c5/CD00000792.pdf/files/CD00000792.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.CD00000792.pdf Thank you very much, best regards and all the best ! Hi If you hurry, you can create it by yourself. https://easyeda.com/Doc/Tutorial/PCBLib.htm#Creating-The-PCB-Libs thanks.

Unfortunately I'm not expertise in that. But if I find time to learn how, I will. Thank you, bye !

@rkcpisa, Do you want to mount the base plate of this device on the PCB but make the connections to it by wires to the screw terminal from somewhere off the PCB?

@rkcpisa, Please do a **SHIFT+F** search for: `ESM3030DV` which is assigned the following package: `SOT-227 ISOTOP` * Read the notes in the schematic symbol and the **Description** fields of both the **ESM3030DV** symbol and the **SOT-227 ISOTOP** PCB package carefully. SOT-227 ISOTOP package. PCB mounting with off-board wires to screw terminals. *** Screw terminals are physically separate from PCB and so the PCB footprint has no pads for them. Similarly, the Schematic Symbol has no pins to connect to the screw terminals. If connections to these terminals are to be made on the PCB then please add separate 1, 2, 3 or 4 pin header symbols to the schematic and create a PCB footprint for the header(s) with suitably sized pads. *** http://www.vishay.com/docs/95036/sot227

Thank you very much andyfierman, great work, this is exactly what I wanted ! Yes, connections are made from screw terminals, off the PCB (or going to PCB via wires). It is correct that PCB footprint has no pads. Actually that component should not be mounted on a PCB (rather on a heat sink, metal case or something), but my circuit has no power dissipation involved, so no problem. Thank you so much for helping: all the best, bye !

* If you are not dissipating much power then that implies that your collector current is only a few amps (because Vce_sat of the ESM3030DV darlington is over 0.5V so it only takes a couple of amps collector current for it to be dissipating well over a watt). Would something like one of these 400V N-channel MOSFETs be simpler to use? http://uk.farnell.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?catalogId=15001&langId=44&storeId=10151&categoryId=700000043507&pf=110022496,110101080,110047307,110148318# Or LCSC offers a wide range of 400V and higher Vdss N channel MOSFETs with similar or even higher current ratings: https://lcsc.com/products/MOSFET_381.html and select 400V and higher Drain to Source voltage ratings. * BTW, to understand more about why the symbol and package are done this way, please see: https://easyeda.com/andyfierman/Welcome_to_EasyEDA-31e1288f882e49e582699b8eb7fe9b1f

ESM3030DV is perfect for that circuit, but I will take your advices in consideration for future uses. Thank you !
