![Project.jpg](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/Qiz4nPbgwAPY91hNLbrYcSYQ5nV1GewpdnCbtFuY.jpeg) Hello everyone :) I am new to easyEDA and i am trying to draw schematic of the project above, which i will need to convert to PCB and also implement in real life. Of course i have lots of questions, which i would be appreciated if any of you can answer: 1) I couldnt find 12V DC battery, am i missing it? 2) In the project above, there is a 15 ohm 2 watt resistor, i couldn't find it so, i used Metal Oxide Film Resistor instead. Can it cause any problems for me? 3) I couldn't find 0.15 ohm 1 watt resistor, all i could find was a 0.15 ohm resistor without any info about watt. Am i missing it too? Or should i just use 0.15 ohm resistor regardless of watt? 4) MBR2045 in above circuit has only 2 pins. But in easyEDA i couldn't find it so i put the MBR2045FCT, which has 3 pins. Should i only connect one of them or should i connect the 2 pins together like in below schematic? 5) In the above project it warns about 1W White LED and i tried to find the most suitable LED. I could find the one in below, its power dissipation is 0.9W. Is this LED appropriate? My easyEDA schematic, for now: ![easyedaa.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/yvc2Q8lBZSEMIFoRoK2STJfkoxK0glmfAhpSCbTZ.png)

1.  Do you want the battery on the PCB ?  If so find a battery holder for the batteries you intend to use, otherwise put a two pin connector to connect to it 2\. No\. Find a 2W \(or 3W\) resistor and change the value to 15Ohms\.  It is the size that gives it the power handline 3\. Same\.  Find a 1W and change value 4.That's correct.  MBR2045 is always three pins so the original is wrong.  But it's overkill so you might be better off with a SB5200 or something like that. 5\. 0\.9W is fine\.

@Ahmet.AksoyAhmet.Aksoy, Welcome to EasyEDA. May I suggest that, to get up to speed with EasyEDA, you read: [https://easyeda\.com/andyfierman/Welcome\_to\_EasyEDA\-31e1288f882e49e582699b8eb7fe9b1f](https://easyeda.com/andyfierman/Welcome_to_EasyEDA-31e1288f882e49e582699b8eb7fe9b1f)

@MikeDB, Thanks a lot for the answer, however if you can be more specific i would be more than appreciated. I have questions about your answers: 1) I dont know about 2-pin connector, but i think if there is a 12V-Battery Holder, like 6xAA holder, it can be better. If you know any component in easyEDA about this, can you write it to me? 2) What do you mean with no? Should i or shouldn't i use Metal Oxide Film Resistor? If you are advising me to use another resistor than what i have used, can you write its name to me? 3) Same but i have a question. I don't know how to change the value, only the text changes are possible as far as i can see, am i missing a point? 4) With saying correct, do you mean my connection is correct? Is my connection correct? Even if it is an overkill, can my circuit work with it? 5) The led i used is SMD Led, is it okay with my circuit? @andyfierman, Thanks for your welcome. That link you gave looks quite useful, i will read it and try to understand what i can. Thanks for sharing this link with me. And even though i will read that link, if you have answers to my questions in this latest reply, i would be quite happy to benefit from your experience and ideas too.

You might like to consider using this: [https://lcsc.com/search?q=AL8861](https://lcsc.com/search?q=AL8861) (Full manufacturer's device page and data: [https://www.diodes.com/products/power-management/led-drivers/medium-voltage-dc-dc-led-drivers/part/AL8861#tab-overview](https://www.diodes.com/products/power-management/led-drivers/medium-voltage-dc-dc-led-drivers/part/AL8861#tab-overview)) as it is a dedicated LED driver and will run much more efficiently that using a simple constant voltage output step down converter and then using a series resistor, dropping the excess volts across a 15 Ohm resistor as a very crude way of controlling the LED current.
