At the moment, **Re-annotate** is a very blunt instrument. It allows only re-annotation of everything in the schematic (Re-annotate All) or re-annotate only elements with the prefix number not yet assigned (e.g. R? C? etc: Keep existing annotation). Sometimes it would be very nice to be able to reannotate everything in a schematic **except** for certain components - or to choose which components to re-annotate - by selecting their prefix. For example in the schematic below I would like to be able to reannotate all the resistors (R prefix) and capacitors (C prefix) but **not** reannotate the single pin connectors (P prefix) and the ICs (U prefix and to preserve the sub-part annotation):
