You need to use EasyEDA editor to create some projects before publishing
Should adding Modules also rename the tracks ?

Placing modules repeatedly is now a little easier with the A/B/C/etc prefix on the component names, but shouldn't it also rename all the component pins and tracks so that you don't get ratlines between separate instantiations of the module ?

I have assumed that a schematic or PCB module should not have any manually assigned netnames. I haven't used them much but are you seeing this problem even with the EasyEDA default netnames?

Yes - it's the EasyEDA assigned ones that cause the problems.   Manual assigned ones I can edit easily

Old thread, but still current. How is one supposed to add many of the same module in a layout?

@martin, Have a look at (4) in: [https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/Extension-User-Extensions-for-EasyEDA-Summary-9e065b68316f4491a3911dc6204be31e](https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/Extension-User-Extensions-for-EasyEDA-Summary-9e065b68316f4491a3911dc6204be31e)

Yes, note that some of these extensions no longer work. The schema must have changed along the way. In any event, I have modified one of them so that it works. Still, working with modules is a pain. The steps as I see them: 1\. Create a schematic/layout and save as a module and use a prefix for nets\, such as "MM\_" 2\. Import module in destination schematic\, then layout 3\. Use extension to rename nets from "MM\_" to whatever suits you in both schematic and layout 4\. Import changes from schematic into layout \(make sure to use "rename nets"\) While in my mind, this should be a one-step operation: import module in schematic should prompt for a dynamic prefix and then do all of the above on its own.

when you Import Change at PCB, the track net will be updated when you enable the update track net option at Import Changes dialog

@UserSupport sure, but the steps I outline above are still required to use a module. Not a good user experience.
