Hello guys, I don't know if it's me or the system, but recently the layout tool doesn't seem to save certain changes of my PCB layout. I want to change the position of the part prefix (R1, R2...), but when I reopen the PCB it doesn't get changed. I did try to change the routing and it is saved. I did try to change the Layer that it's on and it's saved. Only the position is reset to the original position. The characters added by using "TEXT" work fine. I don't know if you can reproduce this. Let me know if you need me to share my PCB. My browser is Firefox 45.3.0 on Linux CentOS. Thanks a lot! Jeff

This is a feature, our EE told me, if you move your prefix more than 1000mil, we will move it to near. So there is no way to move prefix far from components, if you need, you can hiden your prefix, and add a text. ![enter image description here][1] [1]: /editor/20170817/5994f2c3b8f90.png

I think I didn't move it more than 1000mil. I move it to around only 100mil (1 grid). You could try modify my shared layout. I already have a backup.

Thank you Dillion, I've tried on Chrome/Windows and I can move it. It's OK. I'll try again on my Firefox/Linux and report the result. Ta!

Hi, I can confirm that the problem only happens with my Firefox/Linux machine. I've tried again on Chrome/MACOS, it's OK. So something wrong there. In my Firefox/Linux, turning on and off the Prefix display option also is not effective immediately. Thanks for your help. I'll stick with Chrome now. Regards

Hi @lieumychuong It seems you at least have 3 computers, one windows, one Mac, one Linux. So, EasyEDA is best for you.

I use mainly the linux. But sometimes use the Mac and Windows for testing. EasyEDA makes it easy.
