Smaller Mouse Bite / Stamp Hole Tabs for Panelizer?

Do you have a recommended home depaneling tool? The 8mm default width of the tabs is a lot compared to the typical ~2-3mm tabs on other tools. 3mm is also is within the spec of the $30 Hakko hand depaneling tools (DP-24-N)  that Clough42 features on his YouTube channel. I think most users can increase the number of tabs easily too, so there's not much of a downside here. Great experience otherwise! Looking forward to making my first SMT assembly!

Don't understand, any images? If the system panelized tool can not macth your design spec, you can panelize by yourself by board outline?

Yep. Sorry for the confusion. I'm trying to do JLCPCB SMT assembly for my small board. It's under the minimum width, so it seems like the only way I can order it (while still being able to separate them easily) is to panelize it. I can't simply copy and paste by board outline, since JLCPCB SMT assembly doesn't support v-grooving and I can't figure out a way to add mouse bites / stamp holes manually in EasyEDA. Enter the EasyEDA panelization menu option. Great on the surface, the stamp hole tabs are the width of a micro usb connector, ~6.5mm? ![stamp_hole.JPG](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/HeUgIc0tvDNHSr8FoIzgAJ0Ip3sdzxLGmfGr93wJ.jpeg) Is there a reason you went with that size? Is there a method that you recommend to remove the tabs? I could crack them off, but then I'd need to file a bunch of rough long fiberglass edges before sending out my boards. Not a big deal for small prototype quantities, but annoying in "production". ![remainder.JPG](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/cCZ34hdi7AufFXXauTOY1Vvc9HczOcFumr3ZHpNS.jpeg) I'd like to use this tool, which only claims to handle up to a 3mm long tab / "isthmus". [https://hakkousa.com/chp-dp-24-n-depaneling-tool.html](https://hakkousa.com/chp-dp-24-n-depaneling-tool.html) ![hakko.JPG](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/Q6sooocWoLvtgchUuNF2wopbQes1oLYgbZH0eqIU.jpeg) But it leaves a much better edge and doesn't strain the board like bending it will. Clough42 Initial Review: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ughpcAJoT6M](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ughpcAJoT6M) Clough42 Pneumatic Depanelizer: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjaT2MmEZpg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjaT2MmEZpg)<br> <br> While I think I can survive with the EasyEDA panelization tool as it is now (doing some extra work like I mentioned or biting it from both sides) it'd be nice if you reduced the tab size to 3mm or less or made it a variable. Another option is to publish the source code for the panelization menu option and let me (and others) tweak with it and load it in as an extra extension, but I'd understand if you didn't want to do that either.

Here is the board I'm designing, if that helps. [https://oshwlab.com/nhergert/easyledv2_usbexpander](https://oshwlab.com/nhergert/easyledv2_usbexpander)

Hi the stampe hole quantity is base on the JLCPCB recommendation, we believe it is works for many boards. if it not satisfy your requirement, please panelize by yourself, in the future, we will support to custom stampe hole quantity in the pro edition.

I would pay for that. Thanks for your prompt response!

@nhergert, If you panelise it yourself then you can define the tabs anyhow you like. Hence you can create tabs that suit the depaneling tool you illustrate with no need for stamp holes.

I think the tool is designed to cut through tabs with stamp holes. I was hoping to be able to automatically do it with auto-panelization.
