Sometimes snap to pin works, sometimes it does not work:
The shape of the wires (triangle connections as in the video above or right angle connections as normal in a schematic does not seem to matter. The problem seems to appear when a two pins on the same packag eare connected by the same net.

I see it's still not fixed I'm trying to connect LED-0805 Resistor 1206 to GND symbol and I'm having a rough time at it. Very frustrating.
