Socket-able Items

New to easyeda, and I've not been able to figure out the best way to handle socket-able items (fuse holders, IC-chips with DIP sockets, etc.), so that the component (fuse, IC) AND the socket (fuse holder, DIP sockets) both appear in the BOM. Do I put both the fuse AND fuse-holder in the schematic, but set the actual fuse to Mounted=NO (thus not appearing in the PCB)?  However, when I looked at how Mounted is to be used, it didn't seem to fit this scenario. What's the best approach here?

@bwinter, Welcome to EasyEDA. Good question! This is discussed under **What is Schematic Capture and why does it matter?** in (2.2) of: [https://easyeda\.com/andyfierman/Welcome\_to\_EasyEDA\-31e1288f882e49e582699b8eb7fe9b1f](https://easyeda.com/andyfierman/Welcome_to_EasyEDA-31e1288f882e49e582699b8eb7fe9b1f) "Fuses that are fitted into PCB mounted fuse holders are best dealt with in a schematic by showing the fuse using a fuse symbol in the schematic but assigning to that _fuse symbol_ the BoM information - including the package - that is for the required _fuse holder_. The required fuse ratings, type and supplier information can then be included in the BoM using the **Add new parameter** function for the fuse symbol in the schematic. Other socketed devices can be treated in the same way."
