[SOLVED] Soldermask defined pads - how to remove soldermask over copper rectangles, leaving small overlap of soldermask over the pads?

I made a clone matrix array of copper pads (rectangles on the copper layer). Now I'd like to make a soldermask which slightly overlaps the pads (I think these are called "soldermask defined pads"). How do I achieve this? Thanks. Edit: are solid areas on the soldermask layer areas where soldermask will be applied or removed? ![Untitled.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/gYPAydtfKQldXPD8oqsHpJTejDsMDASpCiJo0ui2.png)

Solid areas on the soldermask layer represent areas where soldermask will be removed. They represent apertures in the soldermask. If you make the array out of pads rather than solid regions or copper rectangles then you can simply apply a negative soldermask clearance to cause the soldermask to overlap the pads rather than have a positive clearance around them. So define a pad of the desired size with the required negative soldermask clearance first then copy and paste then use the Distribute Array tool to place them.
