Spice Lib and PCB Lib

Good morning, Here's a question that I probably won't have all the correct techie words for. I found a component that I needed in the User Contrib section of the Libraries.  The ESP32 component had both schematic and PCB symbols displayed in that vertical preview panel,  I set it as a favorite and it does show up in my Work Space library. Nice. I needed to change some text on both the schematic and PCB parts.  I did that and here's where my question is - When I save the edited schematic part, it saved it to the Spice Symbol types.  When I saved the edited PCB symbol, it saved it to the PCB Libs type. When I place the edited schematic from from the Spice lib it has the corrections, but when I go to Convert To PCB, it has the unedited PCB symbol which is still showing up in the Spice Lib. How can I tie the new PCB symbol in the PCB Lib to the new schematic symbol in the Spice Lib? It's so confusing. Thanks. Jim

Please read in particular (1) and (2.3) in (2) in: [https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a](https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a) Your issue is not helped by the fact that you have selected an incorrectly constructed user contributed symbol for the ESP32. This should be a Schematic Symbol (a.k.a. Schematic Lib) and not a Spice Symbol because there is no such thing as a spice model for the ESP32. After reading the documents in the link above, the first thing you need to do is to submit an Error Report for the spice symbol just to say that it should be deleted for the reason given above. The second thing is to find your edited PCB Footprint a.k.a. PCB Lib) and make note of the exact name you gave it and make sure that it is unique. Check that it is correct to the datasheet. Then find or create a Schematic Symbol for the ESP32 and check that it is correct to the datasheet. Then assign the name of your PCB Footprint to the Package attribute of your Schematic Symbol.

@andyfierman Thank you for the reply.  It only became a Spice symbol when I saved the edited schematic symbol. ![spice.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/Bp90I2myUdAQS0mPdqnjuRl8RYMIssyc1Y2cv9cw.png) This is the component I originally favorited (it's a word) - ESP32\_DOIT\_DEVKIT\_1\_RJM I did get this figured out and now have nicely edited schematic and PCB symbols. 1\. Edit schematic symbol and save\. 2\. Edit PCB symbol and save\. 3\. Do a linkation \(it's a word\) in the Footprint Manger\. 4\. Select it from My Libraries\. Done. Have a nice day and stay safe. Jim
