I can confirm this behaviour. The animated GIF below shows the problem. The grid is 2mm, snap is 0.5mm. 1. When you first place and drag a pad around, it snaps to the 0.5mm snap based on the 2mm grid. 2. If you release the pad and deselect it and then reselect it and drag it around, it then seems to snap to a what may still be a 0.5mm snap but one which is offset from the 2mm grid. 3. If you release the pad and deselect it and then reselect again it and drag it around, it then it snaps to the 0.5mm snap based on the 2mm grid. I don't think other video formats are supported. So, if you can convert your screencast into an animated gif then you can drag and drop it directly into a post.
