If the screen looks like this, i.e. with the right hand Attributes panel hidden:

and then the TAB key is pressed, then it goes like this:

The only way to recover from this seems to be to:
* click anywhere in the white or grid area then press TAB again and pause to see if the screen reappears looking normal.
* Repeat until the screen reappears looking normal.
* Pause between each TAB press so as not to miss the press that returns the screen to normal and have to go round again.
* When the screen returns to normal, click on the arrow on the right hand panel:

to reopen the attributes panel:

* Try not to press the TAB key again until this bug is fixed!
