Hello, All is in title : 1. Create track on top of PCB with 200mm length net name "TEST1" 2. Create track on top of PCB with 100mm length net name "TEST2", put a via (net name "TEST2") and create track on bottom of PCB with 100mm length net name "TEST2" Get the lenght from design manager "TEST1" and "TEST2" are the same, this is false, the via increase size of TEST2 for about the thickness of PCB

The additional track length introduced by the via is only of any relevance when considering track length tuning for high speed signals. However, if the individual vias in a signal path are seen as having an important effect on the signal integrity then it is not just the physical length of the track due to the via but the electrical length due to the via inductance and the capacitances to any surrounding planes or nearby tracks, that is important. And it is not just the electrical length that matters, the impedance of the entire track length **_and_** the vias are important. At the moment EasyEDA does not support trace impedance calculation and modelling at the level that is provided in high-end EDA tools.

Hello @andyfierman, I currently route a 48MHz µSDCard reader, clearly I got an Excel file with independent segment and via of track for track impedance but extact track length will help me for first approximation iterations. Have nice day~~~~

What edge speeds (rise/fall times) are you switching? Worrying about vias and track length matching with a 48MHz clock seems a bit of over-design...

This blog post nearly describes most of what I would say about edge speeds and propagation velocity on FR4 PCBs. One point to add is that the 165ps/inch (6.5ns/m or 6.5ps/mm!) propagation time figure is for stripline where the track is completely enclosed in FR4. For microstrip (tracks on the surface either exposed or under soldermask) this figure is somewhere around 4.5ps/mm.

It would help if I had posted the link... [https://blogs.mentor.com/hyperblog/blog/tag/velocity-of-propagation/](https://blogs.mentor.com/hyperblog/blog/tag/velocity-of-propagation/)

Hello @andyfierman, Thanks for information. I use this specification, timing and trace impedance : [https://www.mouser.com/catalog/specsheets/an10911.pdf](https://www.mouser.com/catalog/specsheets/an10911.pdf) I always route SD cards with extreme careful (perhaps over-designed) to avoid problem, I learned from the field. Have nice day
