Trying to align a component on top of a circle; circle also moves

Hi All,

Simply put, when I try to align a component (tactile switch) onto a TopSilkLayer circle (from a DXF that’s been imported), both the circle and the switch move to align. How do I use the alignment tools such that the circle stays where it is but the switch moves to be centred (horizontally and vertically) over the circle?

Thanks

You have not posted any supporting information so here are a couple of guesses.

  • Have you used the Lock attribute to fix the circle in position?
  • Can you position the switch manually using the XY attributes in the right hand panel?

Please use Chrome or Firefox. Safari is not fully supported.

Hi,
I'm not using EasyEDA in-browser, I have the standalone app installed on my PC. Also, if I try and use the lock attribute that doesn't work either (the component I'm trying to align over a circle just moves ever so slightly in the direction of the circle.
Yes, I can position the switch manually but I have 20 to do
