In 6.3.22 dblclick on the track not add node!!! This is very unusable, because your autorouter produce poor quality layout which I need correct manually. Please restore dblclick feature for add node
The behaviour has been changed.
1. Left-Click to select a track segment;
2. Left-Click again to select only the segment between the nearest 2 vertices;
3. Left-Double click that segment;
4. The new vertex will be inserted at the point where the mouse pointer is and not at the mid point of the segment.
Restart application and this feature now working ok. But except track with one segment (i.e. with two node). For such short tracks double click still not working
Same problem with add node to short track in FireFox
2support - I don't understand why you select click-click-dblclick sequence for such frequently operation as add node to track? and why you don't add it to context track menu?
You must make sure you have click the single track segment.
for now design, click a track segment, it will select all segments, click it again, the single segment will selected, then you can double click it to add node.
@UserSupport I understand. But this is sometime working sometime not for large tracks - see my video. And always not working for track with single segment.
PS I have clear installation win10 x64 with EasyEDA client app last version - so this problem not related to my computer
Have you downloaded a client or made your own following these instructions?

@UserSupport
Yes, I understand sequence - you don't need to repeat it again and again. But new node sometime added, sometime not.
In any case will be very good if you add "Add node" item to context menu for track
@ban.relayer, @UserSupport,
If I start with a simple track in the PCB Editor or a simple PCB and then follow the 3 steps shown above by UserSupport above, then the process works as described for me in both the (Chromium and Firefox on Linux) web-based and (Linux) Desktop Clients.
However, if I follow the same steps in some PCBs, Step 3 does not add a new Vertex. There is one PCB I have that is in an autorrouted version where Step 3 works on any track on either side but in a manual routed version of the same PCB, Step 3 does not work on any track on either side.
If required, I can share the json files for those two PCB versions privately with UserSupport.
I have had trouble with this change as well. It looks like two clicks with time in between followed by a double click is the correct procedure. Without knowing that (until now I did not - I had read when the change was made a simple double click was needed) it was nearly impossible to add a node. As it is, it takes 4 clicks carefully timed in order to do so.
Therefore, I would add to a previous commenter that a right-click option should be added. Hovering over a track highlights it, so I see no reason a right-click menu option to add a node at the mouse location shouldn't be added. Please consider adding this feature in the next release.
