Why these weird past mask cutouts in the common 0603 resistor layouts?

When you use the 0603 resistor from the "commonly library" (hhahaa... Hi it is for JLCPCB SMT needed, it is better for soldering

That's interesting @usersupport; because JLCPCB often complains about them... Maybe you folks are missing some coordination here?

Specifically, when you order a stencil from them with these, they ask if you want to use the copper layer instead.
