With PCB routing set to 45 degrees, moving a track segment that is continued at a vertex to a segment that is (temporarliy during editing) not at an integral number of 45 degrees on the canvas, deletes the vertex at the corner between the two segments and switches the track that is being moved to the nearest 45 degree angle:
