Hello, I want to adjust a arduino micro module in the PCB layout, and when I adjust the component the X and Y coordinates are from the part central of the module. Can the module X and Y be adjusted from pin1 for example?
I want to move the whole micro arduino module, and the pin1 would have to be for example x2, y2. If I select pin1 to x2, y2 only pin1 moves but the module does not move. If I move the module with the mouse I can adjust pin1 to x2.05, and 2.07. The idea is to move the module by writing the coordinates X, Y but having the reference of pin1. This is possible?
Clone the module with a new name then edit it to redefine the origin to pin 1.
Save it then replace the module in the PCB:
If you are creating the PCB from a schematic then reassign the new module footprint name to the module schematic symbol and do Update PCB...
Use the Origin tool in the PCB Lib tools. It works the same way in all the editors:
