i cannot get easyeda to show a 2 channel opamp soic8 ic as opamp symbols. Rather it just shows a box with labeled pins, is there a way to show the actual symbols?

If you want to use parts that are available to buy from LCSC and have all the right BOM information already configured then you will have to use the symbols as provided in the LCSC library. However you could clone them to copy across the BOM information and then edit them to create your own individual symbols following the instructions for multi-part components in the Tutorial. If you are happy to add your own BOM information then you could use one of the existing System symbols and just edit the attributes in the schematic or clone and edit one to create your own symbol. You could also do this using a user contributed symbol. In all cases you **must** check the symbol including pin mapping onto the assigned PCB footprint, very carefully.
