Left click on it to highlight the unwanted item and right click menu and select delete? while in footprint mode

@2021dmpc, I think the OP is asking about vias on a PCB, not a Footprint.

Could be due to several causes. Use the PCB Design Manager to help locate the problem element. Check your layer visibility. Post a link to a public project.
