Sorry, I was very frustrated. It was the second time that it had happend. The first time, I scrapped the design and started over. The second time, I had just saved it and was able to get back to the saved copy. No images this time, but the next time it happens, I will get a screen shot. If you move the footprint by mouse, the track will follow the pad, and the track will change the angle. if you don't want the track follow, you can move the direction key up and down etc.
the track will detach the pad.
