op amp - footprint and spice

Hi, I am new in the simulation of circuits. I have been trying to simulate a circuit (which I want to convert to PCB) containing an inverting amplifier. I have designed the circuit creating three different project and using for each of them different op amps I was interested in: AD8597ARZ, AD8675, AD844 and LM358N. With LM358N I was able to carry out simulations, but when coming to conversion of the project into a PCB the following error was displayed: "can't find this footprint on the sever, please re-associate it". I wasn't really able to find the footprint, even if for what I have understood it's a widely used op amp on EasyEDA. Any suggestion on how to do it or an illustrated guide to follow? Then I selected AD8597ARZ, AD8675, AD844 and for none of them I was able to perform a simulation, getting instead the following error "There are some parts haven't spice model, please use EElib and Spice Symbol at Libraries of Simulation mode", or you can assign the spice model for them"; I have tried then to look for them in the Spice Libraries in the Simulation Mode, but no result, even if I guess the fact they were on the Spice Library of the Designing mode, means somebody used them before? I have no idea on how to start this. I have found the following old explanation about adding Spice symbol [https://easyeda\.com/forum/topic/Include\_spice\_model\_from\_internet\-NnhVdvpHY](https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/Include_spice_model_from_internet-NnhVdvpHY); but It was also mentioned (about 8months ago) some update, which I don't know if occurred? I am quite lost now with footprint and spice symbol, and I would really like to please ask you if there is any tutorial or an illustrated guide you would suggest to add them and finally simulate and convert to PCB? The reason I am calling for an _illustrated_ guide is because I am not English mother tongue, and I don't know much about Spice world for example, so I felt a bit lost reading at that link, sorry about that! I really hope there is a solution! Thank you in advance for any help!

I am sorry, I am trying to, I am following this guide : [https://docs.easyeda.com/en/Introduction/Share-to-Public/index.html](https://docs.easyeda.com/en/Introduction/Share-to-Public/index.html). But my project doesn't appear on the personal workspace online, not even trying to switch to the 'Teamwork mode', plus when I do switch to Teamwork I get the following error when trying and opening the project "Trying to get property of non-object"

@g.lat, Hang on a bit. I think the way to share to public has been changed but not documented... Let me have a play and see if I can post a quick HowTo.

@g.lat, @UserSupport, Not sure why this has been made so complicated... @andyfierman We want the project sharing with the high quantity content, we have a lot of public projects ,but most of them are useless. that is for OSHWlab.com for this case, it is recommended to add as a project member.

Hi, Thank you for your help! I actually tried, but we don't even have an "edit" option when we right click on the project on the software installed on the computer. I am sharing this project with someone else on another account, so now I tried to create the same design on this account (online, without downloading the software), but with the online designer I can't find the Voltage Source symbol in the EELib(is this suppose to happen?), so I managed to share the project now, but I left a circle where I am supposed to have a voltage source instead (I am generating a sin wave). [https://easyeda\.com/editor\#id=\|fb3873960883413b855ad2eb1bfb2f15](https://easyeda.com/editor#id=|fb3873960883413b855ad2eb1bfb2f15)

In **Sim** mode: How to select V sources: ![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/ojcuV0oegVmlPNpwnm8fomfoowwcGo3JaKPyNbAP.png) Click on the down arrow in the V sources and select the type of source: ![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/nEqzJBrlnPgDkVsPi7Z4gpn0vHlTf3qs0XzFB0zi.png) Edit the prefixes to get one device as U1.1 and the other as U1.2 then press the I key and reassign the pin numbers so that U1.2 is in the other half of the package: ![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/xj2XvJ5Z6ChlZUlkUDJQxljx0xfUj0ILVEEG48bm.png) Save. Switch to **Std** mode and select U1.1 then click on the **Footprint** attribute: ![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/DAQdViHGmcs0kJfxyDiAl0UJ5UlUDrJRPG4qISgv.png) Select U1.2 then click on the **Footprint** attribute again: ![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/HoG5IUgt1OUamwFxsHfH8Ch0CcBMgxDlW6nIl4Nd.png) * Rotate the symbol or the footprint in the Footprint Manager using the space or R key. Move using the mouse. Zoom using the mouse wheel.

@UserSupport, I see the need for well documented public projects - it is good practice and our own forum guidelines encourage that - but I think there is are some problems with trying to make users add documentation or instead, making them add other users to their Team, before other people of the forum can see their project. Users often need help with very simple, learning projects that are not intended to be useful on their own. It is always easier to help when a user can make their project public so that everyone in the forum can see it. If the user has to fully document a simple help project they may give up. If the user has to ask for someone to share their project with they may give up. Other users may not have - or wish to give - the time to accept being added to project teams. The owners of projects to which people are added as Team members often forget to remove the temporary team members after the question has been answered or the problem has been solved.

Hi  @[andyfierman](https://easyeda.com/andyfierman), Huge thanks! That was very clear and easy to follow! On the voltage source, I didn't realize the simulation mode was the one used when adding it, my bad, but thank you very much! About the other problem I have with the spice, any guide I could give a look? I updated the project to show the error I get when trying to simulate: [https://easyeda\.com/editor\#id=\|fb3873960883413b855ad2eb1bfb2f15](https://easyeda.com/editor#id=|fb3873960883413b855ad2eb1bfb2f15)<br> <br>

@g.lat, Oooooooooh. That might be a toughie, Let's see... Do we think that might be why we have a Simulation Tutorial that is pointed to from: [[Must read] How to ask for help and get an answer.](https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a)   ? Go on, spoil yourself. Grab yourself a mug of tea and a bun and settle down for an evenings fun and entertainment. **_:)_**

:') okay, fair enough! I will try again with the knowledge I have now! Thank you very much for your help! EasyEDA is a really good way to approach to electronic circuit simulation, and it's extremely important to be able to rely on a forum that actually works, especially for the first time! Have a good day!! Thanks
