preventing autoroute from crossing mounting pads for screws

I have a project with four mounting holes with square pads for screws that the autorouter keeps running lines thru. How do I tell the router it can't go there? The pads are "locked" in properties. What else do I need to do to keep them isolated as any metal mounting screw would short the circuit to the pad and therefore what ever it's mounted to!

Assign the same net name to all the screw pads then tell the autorouter to ignore that net.

They are on the ground net. It still routes a path thru them.![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/noNJGQOesX5zghH1rRE7zXVFfKHtzaUXm4dPI5QV.png)

How do you tell the router to ignore them? I moved them tp their own net but don't know how to tell router to ignore them?

@andyfierman Did what you said, found where to tell router to ignore. It still wants to cut a path thru the pad.![image.png](//image.easyeda.com/pullimage/jc7HhzHJkWr9aDLzfSCoVIJi6i6QwSCuXcMbYwr4.png)

You can't route through a pad. Therefore those squares aren't pads. They must be solid regions or something. Replace them with suitably sized pads assigned to their own netname and the autorouter should avoid them.

Look for the skip net option.

Autoroute will not avoid the copper area, you can use solid region first

@msaine, You could also place the holes as symbols on the schematic which then pulls the Footprint into the PCB for you. There are symbols with associated Footprints for holes of various sizes in the library. See (2.2) in (2) in: [https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a](https://easyeda.com/forum/topic/How-to-ask-for-help-and-get-an-answer-71b17a40d15442349eaecbfae083e46a)

for more info.

Thanks All for your responses. Placed big pads and it works, they are round but thats a different bridge to cross later.
