how do i make the PCB layout automatically name the component silkscreens by component value (name) rather than the short codes (U5, C3, etc).
I can do it manually but it's super tedious to delete each short code and add a text element with the value - since the value is right there in the 'name' field already, there surely much be a way to add this field to the silkscreen automatically ?

I found it. duh :) lol.
for anyone else with such a quesiton;
- in the component inspector, select 'display name':'yes' and 'display prefix':'no'
- you can select all the components and just do this once.
