Just started using this software but hit a wall on a relatively easy layout my question is can I show someone my schematic and ask for pointers ?

Then make your project public.
Then, because you said you are stuck on the layout but then have asked for someone to eyeball your schematic, you need to be clear about what it is you need help on.
